David Hawes

As a pastor and fitness coach for over nine years, David is compelled by the idea of helping people find life, joy and energy in their daily lives by seeing the connection between being physically, spiritually and relationally healthy and thriving. In this dizzy fast world, most of us find ourselves spun out and spread thin by the endless pursuit of trying to chase down “the balance.” Hollowed out and empty, we ache for a renewed spark of energy, creativity and sense of purpose in our body, spirit and relationships. David loves to see this vision become reality in people’s lives by directing them forward toward routines and rhythms that bring life, rest and depth to the human soul.

"I have known David in both a personal and professional capacity for about 5 years now; as a trusted leader, mentor, and friend. He is approachable, and has a true gift of connecting with people exactly where they are at, and then guiding them towards growth and upward momentum. This has been so beneficial to my own development in various aspects of my life. What I appreciate most about David is the level of humility he approaches relationships with. He approaches issues with relatable stories and tidbits of wisdom. His leadership style inspires rather than just giving the answer or telling me what I should do. Through this relationship, I can say whole-heartedly that he has made me a stronger man and a better husband, father, and son!

QuoteVisual-1000.jpg

"When you improve a little each day, eventually big things occur...Don’t look for the quick, big improvement. Seek the small improvement one day at a time. Coaches are masters of shrinking the change. By pushing their teams to attain a sequence of 'small, visible goals,' they build momentum. One thing we can control is how we define the ultimate victory and the small victories that lead up to it. Small targets lead to small victories, and small victories can often trigger a positive spiral of behavior. This is how fundamentals and drills create the foundation on which individual initiative and imagination can flourish.”

—Coach John Wooden

"Liminal space in our lives is the most uncomfortable space, but it’s where all the growth takes place because it is the space between what was and what is to come - the uncertain world of anticipation between worlds.”

—Harris III

Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
